Maruti Suzuki is expected to reveal its upcoming 2017 S-Cross facelift in the upcoming few weeks, as from the recent spy shot which has reportedly been captured at company’s production house, the facelift version seems ready to show-off. This next-gen S-Cross is likely to make its public debut at Paris Motor Show in October this year.
In February this year, an unofficial image of S-Cross facelift in concept form leaked by PAULTAN.ORG over the internet and now the latest spy shot of production unit seems quite similar to its concept. The spy image that was taken by car-and-bike shows front and side profile of the car. At the front, the new crossover gets a redesigned front bumper including the larger vertical chrome slats radiator grille. The new projector headlamps have also been slightly tweaked in order to match with the new grill pattern.

However, there are no officials yet about its powertrain, but the Japanese auto giant is likely to launch the 2017 S-Cross in the global market with either all -new 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine or a 1.4-litre K-series petrol engine that also powers the Baleno and recent launched Vitara Brezza.
Talking about India-spec S-Cross facelift, as the first generation S-Cross was introduced in India last year and was unable to reach up to the mark. Later the company also promoted the crossover by cutting its price down, gave discounts and introduced special edition version, and now the automaker is expecting increased number of sales by introducing a facelift version of S-Cross. Though we will see more updated bodywork and an additional diesel engine option for the india-spec 2017 S-Cross. The current available S-Cross is being offered with a 1.3-litre and a 1.6-litre DDiS diesel engines that churn out 88 bhp and 118 bhp of power respectively.
India launch of the next-gen S-Cross facelift is expected to take place in later this year or early next year. The price of this facelift version will be slightly higher than the current model.
