The Zero Motorcycles is readying their products to get them into the competition with other motorcycles in the automobile industry. The America's famous electric motorcycle manufacturer is updating its maximum performance motorcycle. Here, we are talking about the Zero SR electric motorcycle, a maximum performance motorcycle in the firm's range. The company has given a tagline to its updated 2015 Zero SR motorcycle, which describes the increased power and efficiency of the motorcycle. Now, it would become Zero SR with "more power, higher top speed and greater acceleration".
Well, the above mentioned sentence is not just a tagline; the firm really meant that, as they have done some really serious changes in the specifications of the motorcycle to make it more efficient. The Zero SR and Zero S, both the motorcycle are based upon the same platform, but the SR model surfaces more power and is highly efficient.
Technically, the Zero SR is featuring a Z-Force, 75-7 passively air-cooled, high-efficient, radial motor incorporated with a 3-phase brushless 660 amp controller. The controller helps in delivering more power up to 67 BHP @ 4000 RPM and reached a peak torque of 144Nm. The 2015 Zero SR motorcycle will make its availability in ZF12.5 and ZF12.5+Power Tank versions, which will be reaching a top speed of 151 mph and 185 mph, respectively. The motorcycle will take only 4 seconds to reach 0-60 mph. The updated electric motorcycle will be featuring 9th generation Bosch ABS and front upside down sports adjustable shocks and monoshock at the rear, catered by Showa.
The 2015 Zero SR electric motorcycle is priced at $17,345 and the Tank version is available at $19,840. Although, both the motorcycles will come equipped with the batteries by-default.
