Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has launched the trendy Dio with an all new Axis Matt Grey color update alongside a spiky 3D emblem. Unveiled first at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the scooter gets this fresh paint scheme at the same cost and continues to be retailed at INR 48,264 (EX-Showroom, Delhi). To celebrate the joy of Dio's entry into the exclusive million customer club, the brand has launched the tourer.
No eminent perceptible changes are reported apart from the ones mentioned above. The Dio is pretty identical to the standard variant. Mechanically, the scooter breathes via the same 109cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which was found on the Activa. The power output upholds 7BHP at 7500 RPM and 8.77NM torque at 5500 RPM. On the technical front, the machine packs up with Honda Eco Technology and a combi braking system.
Speaking about the Dio, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Sr VP, sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “In line with Honda strategy to delight our customers by refreshing our product portfolio regularly, the new Dio is Honda’s sixth new model of 2016. The new Matt Axis grey colour with value addition of the premium 3D emblem without any additional cost makes it a compelling proposition to own one.”

The Dio Scooter was an instant hit in the two-wheeler markets when it first launched in 2002. The appealing sharp looks were the eye-candies to the young enthusiasts of the country. The scooter was a big hit in international markets as well apart from India. The export statistics puts Dio on top that is currently on sale to other countries namely- Colombia, Mexico and neighbouring nations.
