Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelift version of the Alto 800 in Sri Lanka. The 2016 Alto 800 has been offered in two variants of LXI and VXI for the Sri Lankan crowd at the price tag starts from LKR 20.15 Lakh which figures INR 9.33 Lakhs in Indian currency. The addition of two new shades- Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue increases the color choice from four to six.
Glancing over the revived Alto 800, it showcased the improved and enhanced the beauty of the car. The front end received a new grille, facelifted fascia with revamped headlights and redesigned bumper for foglights. The overall update improved the measured length of the compact car from front to end by 35mm.
Talking about the interior, the updates include dark grey shade interior, new fabric upholstery for new seats as well as for door pads. The rear seat gets integrated headrest for more comfort. The hatchback also offers driver side airbag, safety child lock, and additional storage at the rear. The other standard features are front power window, full wheel covers, rear spoiler and central locking system. While the top variant VXi gives music system, rear parcel tray and keyless entry for their likes.
Also, the new Alto 800 borrows the same 0.8L three-cylinder petrol engine that is tuned to generate 47bhp of power at 6000 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm. The motor is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Tuned for better performance and fuel efficiency, the motor now gets a hike of 9 percent which scales 24.7km/l from the previous model. To control the improved acceleration 2016 Maruti Alto 800 stopped by the new brakes assembly.
