2016 Toyota was earlier in the news as it was expected that the car might be showcased at the upcoming Jakarta Auto Show, going to be held in coming weeks. Most of the technical details of this four wheeler are already disclosed by the company. But recently, the company has reported that this MUV will offer a feel of crossover to the owners.

Earlier, before the official launch of the 2016 Toyota on 23th of November, the Toyota's subsidiary in Indonesia made a small media conference to grant a brief about the vehicle. In the conference, the PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) claims that the interior of the car is manufactured so as to resemble to that of a crossover. To add more feel of a crossover, this second generation Toyota Innova is incorporated with many interior as well as exterior changes like the costlier variant of this vehicle, i.e. Q-diesel variant is given a 17-inch alloy wheels along with a smart-close trunk-lid.
Retaining some of the previous configurations, this 2016 Innova will get additional Power and Eco modes that will allow the driver to choose between performance and fuel economy. Furthermore, then it is installed with an all-new 2.4-liter GD engine which is capable to churn out a maximum power of 145PS and a torque of 36.7 kgm which makes it a performance dominant over the previous model with 2.5-liter KD engine.
