The next-gen model of the Bajaj Pulsar’s high-level trim- the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, after making its arrival to the authorized dealerships, now has been launched in the country. This updated trim has noted a slight hike of Rs 2,274 from the outdated model and is being retailed at the price tag of Rs. 91,201 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
All in all, the major reason behind introducing the new Pulsar 220F, is to make the tourer BS-IV compliant, as the new emission norms are going to imply by the April 2017. Besides, a slew of cosmetic changes has also been employed on this improved version. Which comprises of new paint schemes, redesigned exhaust system with a matte black finish, addition of blue light in the instrument cluster and matte grey paint job on the engine assembly.
Whereas mechanically, besides getting the BS-IV emission norms update, it is packed with the similar single-cylinder 220cc powertrain, which is responsible for exhaling the same power output of 21bhp and 19Nm from the mated five-speed gearbox transmission.
Available in the two new paint schemes of red/black and blue/white, it will be priced at INR 1.03 lakh(on-road, Delhi). On competition end, it will knock head with the available competitors like the Hero Karizma, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Suzuki Gixxer SF and the Yamaha Fazer Version 2.0.
