As per a leaked brochure, the next generation model of the Hero Maestro Edge will get some updated features and a retuned engine assembly. Enhancements will include the addition of a few new colour options and an Auto Headlamp On feature as well. Whereas, there is no clarification that the 2017 Maestro Edge will be furnished with BSIV compliant engine or not. Though, we are expecting the scooter will comply the upcoming emission norms as it is going to be affected from April 2017.
As mentioned above, the 2017 Hero Maestro Edge will be powered a retuned engine, it is bolted with an 110.9 cc single cylinder, air cooled, OHC mill under the seat. The engine is said to produce 8 bhp maximum power at 7,500 rpm and delivers 8.7 Nm peak torque at 5,500 rpm through the mated a Variomatic drive. The ongoing Maestro Edge churns out 8.31 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 8.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. With the drop down in power and torque figures, the improved trim is likely to offer much healthy fuel mileage than the regular model.
With the introduction of this fresh edition, the colour choices will also be increased to nine from current seven options. New colour schemes include Sporty Matte Grey and Red, and Active Matte Grey and Blue with racy decals.
In the offered featuring list, the 2017 Hero Maestro Edge will be checked on the several attributes like digital & analogue combo instrumentation, LED taillamp, integrated braking system, mobile charging port with boot light and tubeless tyres. Besides, an external filling slot near the taillamp and an immobiliser are also being given by the Honda Activa rival.
If the pricing of this upcoming considers, the 2017 model will receive a slight hike from the available price tags. As the current steel wheel version of the Hero Maestro Edge is on sell at the price sticker of INR 50,330. Whereas, the alloy wheel trim is priced INR 51,780. Both the prices are exclusively applicable at the authorized Delhi dealerships.
