First introduced in 2014, the India-bound Hyundai Facelift is going to receive its first mid-life refresh treatment near in the future. Ahead of its launch, a test mule disguised from the plastic cover of the same just caught on camera suggesting some updates similar to those of the upcoming Grand i10 facelift, variants and price list of which have already been leaked online. There is also some reports claiming about slight mechanical changes as well.
On the designing front, the car is expected to share its nose with its hatchback sibling that comprises a larger grille and redesigned bumper. The most prominent changes appear on the rear profile which comes with two-piece tail lights that extended from the rear bumper onto the trunk. As the car is covered highly at the rear end, it is expected to some more tweaks over there that may come in the form of bumper and boot-lid.
Inside the cabin, we might get to see a similar dash one seen on the Grand i10 facelift. Apart from this, the infotainment system could also be updated to support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto facility. According to the reports, the new 2017 Xcent will ditch the current 71hp, 1.1L three cylinder diesel engine for a more powerful 1.2-litre, three cylinder diesel motor. Besides, the petrol-powered unit will continue to be offered with same 1.2-litre, four-cylinder unit.
