The festive season is on and the Japanese carmaker Toyota has introduced a special edition of the Etios Cross named as the X Edition in Indian lineup at an introductory price sticker of Rs 6.79 lakh for the base petrol variant. While the diesel variant of the same is on sale at Rs 8.23 lakh.
Besides cosmetic upgrades and addition of a new Quartz Brown colour, there is no difference between standard and special edition model as the revived model is powered by the same powertrain options 80hp, 1.2-litre petrol and 68hp, 1.4-litre diesel engines in association with a five-speed manual transmission.
In terms of fuel efficiency, as per the ARAI, the 1.2 litre petrol model is claimed to supply the fuel efficiency of 18.16km/l. While the 1.4-litre diesel engine trim returns 23.59km/l.

At the exterior front, The special-edition crossover hatch receives a large black plastic cladding on the front grille, black bezels around the fog lamps. Other than this, the side plastic cladding dipped in body colour along with the ‘X Edition’ badges on the C-pillar. All new sporty alloy wheels, black roof rails, and chrome finished door handles are also a few additions to the limited edition beauty.
Moving inside all blacked cabin gets carbon fiber finish at the dashboard and door panels. There is a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with rear camera display and the seating obtains new fabric covers.
In the segment 2017 Toyota Etios Cross X Edition will lock its horns with the same rivals of the standard variants including the Fiat Avventura, VW Cross Polo, and Hyundai i20 Active.
