Triumph Motorcycles, the Britain-based premium motorcycles producer, is likely to launch the 2017 Street Triple S, an entry-level model of its range of naked roadster, the Triumph Street Triple, anytime around by mid-June. Expectations are, the motorcycle will hit the Indian ground at the price sticker of around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the global market, the Triumph Street Triple range contains three different variants- S, R and the range-topping RS. The difference between these trims is based on power output, the standard variant, Street Triple S churns out 111bhp, the R belts out 116bhp while the RS is tuned to exhale 121bhp of maximum power.
The 2017 Street Triple is one of the most renowned superbikes in the motoring world and recently get updated for refinements at mechanicals. It has received a light, free flowing exhaust, new air box, improved gearbox and new slipper clutch. In addition to that, two riding modes including Road and Rain have also been added to the bike.The suspension duties on the Street Triple S will be taken care by a 41mm non-adjustable Showa front fork and rear placed preload adjustable mono shock. While the braking will come from Nissin two-pot calipers at the front along with a single piston Brembo at the rear.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple RS, the top end variant of the same, features a number of sophisticated hardware such as 41mm Showa front forks and Ohlins rear mono shock. While the braking will be handled by the Brembo-sourced 310mm discs upfront and a 220 mm rear disc. Electronically, the bike is embellished with the host of equipment such as ride-by-wire, programmable riding modes, traction control, switchable ABS, and an all-digital instrument console. However, a full LED headlamps with integrated DRLs is the new application on the Street Triple.

Globally, the Street Triple is one of the Triumph’s well-known products and was introduced in 2007. Since its launch, the bike maker has sold over 50,000 units, which is actually a good sales figures for this naked series, but the motorcycle did not become available to get that much success as of its modern classic range of motorcycles.
The 2017 Triumph Street Triple is packed with the host of new upgrades over the existing model which include a bigger engine, ride-by-wire, multiple riding modes, traction control and the advanced safety of ABS. the ongoing Street Triple S is priced at Rs 7.91 lakhs and it is expected that the new model will be tagged with a price sticker something around Rs 10 lakh. The RS trim, brand’s top end variant is likely to be launched by the end of this year and will be priced with a premium tag of Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle will hit the Indian shores via CKD route and will be assembled locally similar to the ongoing bike. In the market, it will go in competition with the Ducati Monster 821 and the Kawasaki Z900.
