Yamaha Motor India has introduced the 2017 FZ and Fazer series models in the existing product lineup. Basically, all the three variants which fall in mentioned brands, have already been updated for the impending BS-IV noise and emission norms. But now, they received a slew of changes only on the cosmetic front as new colour inclusion. Besides, the bikes witnesses tyre hugger removal and placement of a large rear mudguard.
The new Yamaha FZ-Fi, which is available in two colours of Barrel Red and Bomber Black is priced at INR 80,726 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2017 Yamaha FZ-S trim gets four new colour choices including Hurricane Gray, Knight Red, Lightning Cyan and Opal White, apart from an existing Matte Green shade. The former four new colour variant will cost INR 82,789 while the latter Matt Green one will be priced INR 1,000 costlier than the given price tag.
Yamaha FZS-Fi also gets, even more, brighter shades than ever to compete in the market, while its mechanicals is kept exactly the same as the 2016 variant.
2017 Yamaha Fazer, which holds the price tag of INR 87,935 is now available to buy in Midnight Black, Burning Red and Marble White shade. All the equipped components on the bike are as same as the previous year model. In this 2017 year update, a rear disc equipment was expected as various others are offering the same in this segment but the bike maker has skipped it once again.
In terms of mechanicals, a 149cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine on the FZ and Fazer series performs propelling duties with the help of churned power output of 3.2 PS at 8000 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6000 rpm via a mated 5-speed gearbox. A new tyre application of 140/60-17 rear radial tyre is also there from the new FZ25
