The 2018 BMW X3 was first displayed at Auto Expo 2018. As per the report revealed from Financial Express, the company will launch this model in April.
Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “We are looking at launching the new X3 in the third week of April. The BMW X3 is available with a range of 2.0- and 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine choices may take a rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive drivetrain layout, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The company is possibly offering the xDrive20d engine at the time of launch. It is powered by a basic 2.0-litre diesel engine generating a peak power of 190 hp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1,750-2,500 rpm. As mentioned in the model name, the xDrive shows an addition of an AWD system.
BMW might take the CLAR platform which is based on BMW X3 concerning two component lines including M Sport and Luxury Line. The car features two-tone underbody protection, chrome side window graphic, Luxury Line door sill finishers, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, Luxury Line key design, Dark Oak wood interior trim strips, chrome kidney grille, a Sensatec-covered instrument panel, Pearl Chrome accent strip, leather upholstery and contrast stitching.
The M sport has 19-, 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels, M interior trim strip, M Sport brakes, BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line window graphic, M Sport suspension, M Aerodynamics package, BMW Individual headliner, blue contrast stitching, M door sill finishers, Anthracite-coloured M Sport seats, black leather upholstery, M Sport leather steering wheel and M floor mats.

The other features include automatic tailgate, Active air flap control, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, twin exhaust tailpipes, three-zone automatic climate control, LED rear lights in 3D look,12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, full-colour head-up display, gesture control, and 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The 2018 BMW X3 is expected to be priced around Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
