Recently, the upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1's test mule has been caught on camera while performing the test rounds at GM’s Milford, Michigan. The emerged spy pictures of this latest front-engined ultimate ZR1 sports car is providing us a hint that it might be the last model under C7 generation.
Close inspection reveals, the test mule undoubtedly has gone through a slew of cosmetic changes, which are not clearly visible as the camouflage is hiding the details. However, that can be observed through the black tarp is, at front fascia, the hood is slightly puffed out with two intercooler air intakes on either side of the bumper. Intercoolers might be there to chill out the more powerful engine and the Corvette ZR1 won’t face the similar heat issue as of Z06. The rear end has also been adjusted but not up to that extent as predicted.
In terms of power, rumor says, Latest Corvette ZR1 might get a brand new engine entitled as LT5. If fitted, the LT5 mill is expected to churn out power over 700hp as compared to the max output of 650hp from the used 6.2 litre supercharged LT4 V8 engine placed on the Camaro ZL1, Cadillac CTS-V, and the Z06. Basically, these are just speculations regarding the engine figures, exact mechanical specifications have not been disclosed yet.
