2018 Maserati Ghibli launched in India at Rs 1.33 crores

Italian car manufacturer Maserati has started selling its all-new sedan, called 2018 Ghibli, in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.33 crores. This has been launched as the second sedan in the company's line-up, the first being Quatrroporte, which is costiler than the newly launched car. The 2018 version will only be made available with the diesel engine and comes in three variants.

The 2018 model is an upgrade to the exiting standard Ghibli. The major changes on the outside design include a new grille, electric power steering, new bumpers, full LED head lamps and driver assistance systems. There are no major changes made in the layout of the cabin, except for some updates in the features and cabin trim.

“The new Ghibli stands out for its bold design and progressive technology. And, since the Ghibli has proved to be really successful for Maserati over the years, the new upgraded version will further enable us to pursue its success story,” said Bojan Jankulovski, head of operations, Maserati India, during the launch event of the 2018 Ghibli.

As we mentioned before, the 2018 Ghibli is only available in diesel option. It features a 3.0-litre V6 Euro 6 compliant engine capable of producing 275bhp power and 600Nm peak torque with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The 2018 Ghibli will be available in two new trim veriants - GranLusso and GranSport. Both vehicles feature a few cosmetic updates over the existing Ghibli.

As for the price, the standard Maserati Ghibli Diesel will be sold at Rs 1.33 crores, while the Maseratio Ghibli Diesel GranSport costs Rs 1.38 crores and Maserati Ghibli Diesel GranLusso has been priced at Rs 1.42 crores.
