Hero MotoCorp Ltd has revealed 2018 models in India - Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion Xpro. The new ranges of motorcycles come with the updated mechanics, cosmetic, better styling, improved features, metallic color options along with new graphics. Yet the company has not announced when the new models will be launched in India but it is expected that the company will announce the prices of new 2018 models by the December end 2017 or in January 2018. All of three motorcycles will be equipped with Hero MotoCorp's i3s technology engine which renders better efficiency and automatically shuts the engine when not was not using and turns it on when required.
The new Hero Super Splendor comes with new metallic color and having a sporty graphics with the updated tank and side panels. In terms of styling, 125cc Super Splendor featuring a finished muffler, silver finish side cover and updated headlamps and tail lights. Some of the attractive features of motorcycle such Auto Headlamp On (AHO) function, side stand indicator, wider rear tire, revised seat, larger under-seat storage compartment, and a smaller storage compartment below the fuel tank.
The company has not changed anything in mechanics of the bike, the bike comes with similar 124.5 cc single-cylinder and air-cooled 4-stroke engine. The engine of the bike is tuned to produce 11.4 bhp at 7500 rpm whereas a peak torque of 11 Nm at 6000 rpm. The company claims that 2018 model of Hero Splendor offers 27 percent more power and 6 percent more torque as compared to the predecessor and delivers a maximum speed of 94 kmph.
The 2018 model of Hero Passion Pro gets few changes such as new metallic paint colors along with stylish graphics. Some of the highlighting features of Hero Passion Pro - side stand indicator, under seat USB port for mobile charging, and a maintenance-free battery. The updated version of the motorcycle is available in both models - drum and disc whereas standard features in the motorcycle comprise - digital- Analog instrument console, a digital fuel gauge, trip meter, always on headlamps, and so on.
Mechanically, Hero Passion Pro comes with similar 110 cc single-cylinder engine that delivers a maximum power of 9.4 bhp at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm. Likewise the Hero Super Splendor, Hero Passion Pro is also equipped with the i3S technology engine. The new model of bike offers 12 percent more power and torque as compared to the previous version.
Apart from the new Passion Pro, the company also revealed the updated version of Passion Xpro. The company targeted youth for this bike, so that the company has added some new features such sharper fuel tank, tank shrouds, stylish rear cowl, dual tone mirrors, and LED taillamps. Other features such as Digital-Analog instrument console, a digital fuel gauge, trip meter, and Automatic Headlight On (AHO) is similar to Passion Pro.
