Porsche finally launched the base and e-Hybrid variants of the latest generation Cayenne SUV in India. Porsche base cayenne comes at a price tag of INR 1.19 crore while the e-Hybrid variant comes at a price tag of INR 1.58 Crores (ex-showroom).
The Cayenne is based on Volkswagen Group’s MLB-Evo platform on which the other Bentley Bentayga and the Lamborghini Urus are based upon. The weight of the new gen Cayenne is lighter by 65 kgs but has a longer and wider footprint.

The Panamera-inspired light bar that connects with the tail-lamps is what which is similar to the Cayenne while on the front there are some of the changes on the grille.
There is still present Porsche’s signature four-point LED DRLs in the headlamps which include the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS).
Talking about the mechanics of base Cayenne, it is powered with 3.0-litre, turbo-petrol V6 motor producing 335hp and 450Nm of torque while the e-Hybrid Cayenne comes with 3.0-litre V6 with 462hp and 700Nm of torque having 14.1kWh battery of having a range of around 44km.

The top specced Porsche Cayenne Turbo has the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol motor generating 550hp and 770Nm of torque with no diesel engine variant.
Coming to the inside the Porsche Cayenne comes up with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the central dashboard with glass-like touch surfaces for the centre console buttons that offers acoustic and haptic feedback.
