2018 Porsche Cayenne is likely to be launched in India by 2018. German automobile giant Porsche has started taking the pre-orders of new Cayenne, at authorized dealership centers of Porsche throughout the country. The upcoming third generation SUV has revealed a few months ago, in terms of looking as much as similar to the current model. The company has modified some radical changes in the exterior of the car. Yet, the company has not announced the official launching date of the new Porsche Cayenne, it is anticipated that the company would launch 2018 Porsche Cayenne very soon in India.
Likewise, Bentley Bentayga, Volkswagen Touareg, Lamborghini Urus and the Audi Q7, the structure of new Porsche Cayenne is based on MLB Platform. The best selling third-generation model weighs 65kg and comes with an aluminum body which makes the car more light as compared to the outgoing model.
The company will be offering new Porsche Cayenne in two variants - Cayenne and Cayenne S with the possibilities of electric and petrol. Both of the variants of 2018 Porsche Cayenne packs 6-cylinder petrol engines. The standard version gets a 3.0-litre motor engine tuned to produce a 340PS of power and 450 Nm of torque whereas the S- version comes with 2.9-litre twin-turbo engine tuned to deliver a 440PS of power and 550 Nm of torque. The company reported that the standard version can deliver an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds whereas the S version in 5.2 seconds. Sports Chrono Package is being offered by the company as optional. The transmission duties being carried out by 8-speed Tiptronic in both the versions.

The 2018 Porsche Cayenne is functional as well as futuristic and comes with an advanced technologies such as analogue instrument cluster, digital readouts, LED headlights along with matrix beam Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Panamera-inspired 12.3-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, 1,455-watt Burmester 3D sound system coupled with 21 speakers which includes a 400-watt subwoofer.
The third- generation SUV features a five programmable driving, rear-axle steering and chassis modes with the adaptive air suspension are some of the advanced technologies which help to enhance the performance of the car
The luxury SUV segment is increasing very rapidly in India. The new Porsche Cayenne will compete against the likes of Audi Q7, BMW X5, Jaguar F-Pace and the Mercedes-Benz GLE. It is anticipated that the both Cayenne and Cayenne S will be available at a price of Rs 1.10 crores and Rs 1.30 crore, respectively.
