There is no doubt that Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is a luxury scooter and it is obvious from its premium looks which are flaunted by integrated LED headlamp, body-mounted windscreen at the scooter’s large front apron. Furthermore, the attributes such as 12V charging socket, tubeless tyres, multi-function key slot, a front disc brake and a stylish tail light as well are there for rider’s comfort and convenience. In addition to this, the scooter features all-LCD instrument console and a larger seat in the segment for better space and comfort for both the rider and the pillion.
Power on the 2018 Suzuki Burgman Street 125 comes from 124.3cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is a shared unit from the Suzuki Access 125. However, the official power and torque figures are not disclosed yet. Though it is expected to churn out similar figures as of the Access 125, 8.5bhp at 6500 rpm and 10.2Nm at 5000 rpm. Performance wise, a slight difference can be observed in both the Burgman Street and the Access as the former one is heavier with the weight of 110kg as compared to 102kg of the latter one.
The Burgman Street 125 cycle parts include telescopic front fork and a single-shock absorber at the rear as suspension setup. Whereas, it will ride on 12-inch alloy units.
Globally, the Burgman is a renowned name as it is a flagship scooter for the Suzuki’s lineup. Here in India, it is likely to hit the dealerships at a premium price sticker may be under INR 70,000 (ex-showroom).
