Suzuki India has introduced the 2019 Gixxer 250 naked streetfighter in the existing product lineup. It is priced at INR 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Suzuki motorcycle is the naked iteration of the lately introduced the Gixxer SF 250. It comes with a single piece handlebar which offers an upright riding position.
This more powerful Gixxer 250 seems more like its younger brother the Suzuki Gixxer 155. It shares components such as the LED headlamp setup, split seats, fuel tank design and tank extensions from the latter. However, there are attributes such as a plastic belly pan and a digital instrument cluster with negative LCD which differentiate it from the smaller Gixxer.
The Gixxer 250 is available in two colour options including dual-tone, grey and white colour scheme which in association with the bronze-finished engine casings and side panels stands bike apart in the crowd. The other option, one can choose is an all-black paint scheme.
The underpinnings likewise the frame, suspension, wheels setup and tyres are the shared units from the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. Not even this, the powertrain on both the bikes is a similar unit- a 249cc, single-cylinder, SOHC oil-cooled engine which is capable of rolling out 26.5hp at 9,000rpm and 22.6Nm of torque at 7,500rpm via a mated 6-speed gearbox unit.
On the weighing scale, the Gixxer 250 tips the scale at 156kg which makes it 5kg less heavy over the Gixxer SF 250. While the safety feature of dual-channel ABS is being offered as a standard fitment.
