The Maruti Suzuki Swift received a fairly significant upgrade at the end of February this year, resulting in rising prices by up to Rs 24,000 based on the variants. There are some easily observable changes outside, including dual-tone color options for the top-spec trim, but the 2021 Swift facelift has many more changes inside.
The main attraction of the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift is the new 90hp, 1.2-liter Dualjet petrol engine. It is assumed to be 2kpl more frugal than the current 83hp unit. There are a total of 9 variants combining 5 manual and 4 AMT automatic gearbox variants. The AMT option costs Rs 50,000 extra from their manual counterparts. Meanwhile, the 2021 Maruti Suzuki Swift priced between ₹ 5.73-8.41 Lakh. The Maruti Swift AMT ZDI makes it easy to ride in urban traffic, this 5-speed AMT unit is believed to be one of the most smoother and also features manual mode and creep function.
Priced at Rs 5.73 lakh, the LXI variant doesn’t have an AMT variant and comes with a manual gearbox only. The LXI features a basic safety kit, without any major technology stuff. It also features a standard kit that includes 14-inch steel wheels, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tilt-adjustable steering, manual AC, manually adjustable wing mirrors, a digital MID, and a front 12V charging socket. However, it is still one step ahead of its competitors because it comes with ISOFIX child seat mounts, which are missing in Ford Figo, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.

The VXI variant costs around ₹ 6.36 lakh and it is better than the basic variant, it looks better and sports ORVM-mounted indicators and full wheel covers. The company also upgraded the audio system – which now comes with USB, Bluetooth connectivity, AUX along with four speakers. Additionally, the Swift VXI 2021 features a rear parcel shelf, remote central locking, sun visors, a tachometer, power-adjustable wing mirrors, speed-sensing door locks, day-night inside rear-view mirror, power windows with driver-side auto-down, adjustable driver seat height, and adjustable front headrests.
Maruti Suzuki Swift VXI also has an AMT gearbox option, which will cost you ₹ 50,000 more which means ₹ 6.86 lakh, and it will also come with safety kits such as ESP and hill-start assist.
2021 Swift ZXI costs just Rs 63,000 more than the VXI, having an AMT option at an additional ₹ 50,000, and gets even more in term of features, including 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, a rear defogger and wiper, power-folding ORVMs, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with navigation, keyless entry and go, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, leather-wrapped steering, auto climate control, and 60:40 split-folding rear seats. The AMT variant costs ₹ 7.49 lakhs. If we compare Price with given features then the ZXI is the real value for money variant in the 2021 lineup.

ZXI+ Costs ₹ 7.77 Lakh, ZXI+ AMT option costs ₹ 8.27 Lakh, ZXI+ Dual Tone costs ₹ 7.91 Lakh, and ZXI+ Dual Tone AMT costs ₹ 8.41 Lakh.
Thus dual-tone color options for the exterior increase the price by around ₹ 14,000 for the manual and automatic variant. The ZXI+ specs add a rear camera setup, auto LED headlamps, LED DRLs, a color multi-info display, auto-folding wing mirrors, and cruise control.
If we take a look at specs and price then Maruti Suzuki Swift ZXI with AMT will be proved as the best value for the deal but if your budget is higher than definitely the top model ZXI+ should be your next ride.
