Datsun has released its new sedan car based on Datsun Go, its hatchback car, which was previously launched in this year. Company named the new sedan as 'on–Do', the car is released in Russia in an event and company had not discussed the price but it is considered that it should be around 400,000 Roubles which around is 6.8 lakh INR.

Previously Company had released Datsun Go in Indian market and got impressive response as Nissan tripled its March sales figure from last year. There is a doubt in releasing the car in India as company built this car specifically for Russia. Company also has MPV version of Datsun Go that is Go+ for Indonesian markets but there is no official confirmation from the company about the release of both these cars in India.

On-Do car comes with 1.6 litre petrol engine which gives 87 HP power. Size of the car is 4337 mm long, 1750 mm wide and 1500 mm in height and also features wider wheelbase. Though the car is inspired from Datsun Go, the hatchback model, but if we compare these cars than the sedan has more squarish headlamps, bigger and stretched out ‘D-cut’ grille, fog lamps, different door handles and prominent character line.

During the launch, Nissan Motor President and CEO Carlos Ghosn said "The introduction of Datsun, Nissan hopes to triple sales in Russia which is now the fifth largest in world – within the next 3 years."
