After formalizing 'Spin' MPV last year, Chevrolet has now finally showcased the machine at the ardently awaited 2016 Auto Expo, which lastly made its inception today. The car will hit the likes of Honda Mobilio and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the MPV segment. Chevrolet has decided to launch the car in the Indian commercial automobile sector in the next fiscal year i.e. 2017.
On having a quick sneak-peak, it has been found that the front fascia of the new MPV is identical to the rest of the Chevrolet's having a big necktie logo with familiar grill. The vehicle has been weirdly designed to flaunt like a little funky yet eye-catching. While the bumper and fog lamps are fairly neat, the side portion of the Tourer reminds us of a typical van-like structure. The MPV also sports roof rails.

It is anticipated to get a 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine churning out around 90PS of power and 200NM of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission sourced from Fiat. Though, it may get an automatic gearbox in the petrol variant. The expected price of the 'Spin' will be around INR 7 Lacs.
Chevrolet India has made an announcement of investing approx. Rs. 6,660 crore for the Indian market in a press meeting last year. Spin MPV will be the first car, which is to be manufactured in the country with this bright mixture of funds. Probably, the upgraded version of the Cruze will also make its move to the motoring event.
GM India President and MD, Kaher Kazem, on discussing the company's plans for the event, stated that viewers are going to witness a completely new Chevrolet at this Auto Expo. Further, he added, “Our presence at this year's event will be highlighted by some Chevrolet product reveals that will mirror the aspirations of Indian consumers and compete in the most vital segments of the Indian vehicle market."
