Bengaluru based start-up Ather Energy has eventually launched the most awaited Ather 340 in India. Altogether, with the launch of more performance packed 450, the company surprised us. The pricing for the said electric scooters start at INR 1,09,750 and goes up to INR 1,24,750 for the Ather 450. Both the prices are on-roads prices. The pre-bookings has been commenced today at 12.30 PM at the company’s official website.
Furthermore, the Ather One Package worth INR 700 per month is also being offered as an optional from the company. The services which will be provided in this package includes roadside assistance, unlimited charging, consumables, data services, scheduled maintenance, labour charges and more. The finished product, Ather 340 electric scooters received a host of improved specs as compared to ones which were rumoured to be offered on the internet before.
The scooter is claimed to attain the top speed of 70kmph and can complete 0 to 40 kmph in just 5 seconds. The scooter uses the churned peak torque of 20Nm, whereas its grade ability has also been increased up to 15 degrees. In a full charge, the scooter can easily cover the range of 60km. On the other hand, the top end of Ather 450 offers a range of 75 km per single full charge and has an 18-degree grade ability and 20.5 Nm of peak torque. Whereas, the top speed for the Ather 450 is 80kmph whereas it reaches from standstill to 40kmph in just 3.9 seconds. With such pickup, besides being most expensive scooters, Ather offerings are one of the quickest electric scooters available on sale in India.
The suspension setup on the Ather 340 and Ather 450 comprises telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The braking will be handled by disc brakes at both wheels in association with a combined brake system. In the segment, the Ather 340 and Ather 450 will go in competition with the likes of Okinawa Praise and Twenty Two Motors Flow electric scooters.
