Audi India has planned to launch its new A3 facelift in the first quarter of 2017. The upgraded sedan has already made its global debut last year along with some new cosmetic changes and a revised powertrain and has been available in four body styles worldwide.
The new Audi A3 will feature the newly designed Xenon-LED lights as standard, and an option of Audi’s bespoke Matrix headlights will also be provided by the company. Other exterior changes in the premium quality sedan includes a revised front grille with larger air intakes, resembling the bigger A4, and a reworked LED taillights. Talking about interiors, the new arrival is blessed with a new flat-bottom steering wheel and the Audi Virtual Cockpit along with a 7-inch centre-mounted screen for multiple tasks.
The major changes can be observed in the engine of A3. The 1.8-litre petrol engine of the previous model has now been replaced with a smaller 1.4-litre TFSI engine in the new arrival, which will deliver the power to the front wheels with a 7-speed transmission unit. The company will initially introduce only the petrol engine variant in the country. The diesel engine in A3 will be introduce followed by the arrival of Audi A4.
The new Audi A3 sedan facelift will be available with a bit higher price as compared to its previous version and will get a price tag of Rs 32 lakh (approx.). It will compete with Mercedes-Benz CLA, A-Class and recently facelifted Volvo V40 after getting launched in India.
