On Wednesday, Audi India has launched the three new models in the bucket of A5 range with starting price of Rs. 54.02 lakh. The three models include the A5 Sportback, the A5 Cabriolet, and the S5 Sportback; from the three, A5 Sportback and A5 Cabriolet are all-new models to add in the existing A5 range. The S5 Sportback is just the revised version of an existing product and priced at Rs. 70.60 lakh. The new models A5 Sportback and A5 Cabriolet have priced at Rs. 54.02 lakh and Rs. 67.15 lakh respectively.
Borrowing the looks from Audi A4 Sedan, the A5 gets a similar sportier version with Sportback supported roof design. It also gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine identical to Audi A4; which is mated with seven-speed transmission and dual clutch. The sportier version is able to churn out 188 PS and a torque of 400 Nm.
The A5 Cabriolet and the S5 Sportback are moreover same when it comes to features, the only difference between the twin is of two-door arrangement and a dashing creation of the open-top convertible design.
The S5 Sportback has some similar creation resembling its camarades but the most sportier look among the three makes it separate somewhere. The sportier bike S5 Sportback is available with a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine which is able to churn out 354 PS of maximum power and 500 Nm of maximum torque. The engine accommodates well with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission setup and standard Quattro AWD with the powertrain.
The rivals for A5 Sportback, the A5 Cabriolet, and the S5 Sportback are BMW 320d GT, Mercedes-Benz C-Class C300 cabriolet, and Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG respectively.
