Audi has today launched a special Lifestyle edition of its A6 luxury car. The new edition will be soon available at exclusive Audi showroom at a starting price of Rs 49.99 for the petrol variant, which is roughly Rs 6.7 lakh lower as compared to the price of the standard A6 petrol.
In terms of specifications, the major addition to the Lifestyle edition is the inclusion of an entertainment package with the rear seat along with a few other accessories such as espresso maker, which are not available in the standard variant. The rear seat entertainment package includes a 10-inch connected tablet mounted on the back of each of the two front seats. That means, both rear seat occupants get individual tablets which can even be removed from their places and be carried outside the car.
In addition to that, the special edition also gets puddle lamps which, when lighted, project the Audi logo on the ground. There is also an espresso maker, with Audi branding, in the car.
The A6 Lifestyle Edition will continue to have the accessory-kit of the standard variant, which includes a Bose surround sound system, Audi’s drive select, adaptive air suspension, along with Audi’s MMI infotainment system with features like voice commands and navigation.
As for the engine, no change has been made. The Lifestyle Edition of the Audi A6 will have the same two engine options, including the 1.8-litre turbo-petrol making 190hp power and the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine making 190hp power. Both engine options will be attached with a 7-speed automatic transmission, same as the standard A6.
The car is expected to go on sale very soon and will directly compete against the likes of the Mercedes E-class and BMW 5-series in India.
