Audi R8 Facelift has been caught while testing near headquarters in Ingolstadt. The spied images show larger exhaust pipes and updated fascia. Audi flagship sports car, R8 might get a mid-life update with second-generation model.
The flagship test mule is covered by a scanty camo covering the fascia and the back section. The front fascia of the variant is updated with the same grille like the new-gen A7, A6, and flagship A8. The side air intakes are surrounded by mesh, although vertical louvres go missing as compared to the existing model along with a considerable chin spoiler. You will find LED headlights and the sleek untouched.
Cladding on side skirts suggests that it might be updated in design. Looking at the rear side, it has a massive circular exhaust pipe protruding the bumper than the integrated squared ones of the existing variant. Across the rear, a noticeable new grille makes the way and minor changes to spoiler along with the sporty diffusers on the bumper which is managed to peek out of camouflage.
The Audi has said that the new R8 will not take a 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 engine from the RS5 coupe, as a rumor suggest. The waving sales also favor that R8 might get the update at the end of the decade or cast out.
