Bajaj Boxer, was one of the prominent commuter motorcycle of the Indian biking industry. Years ago, the Bajaj had pulled off plug from the vehicle. The Boxer 150 was the last iteration of motorcycle, which was earlier being offered in several trim ranging from 100cc to 150cc engine.
Recently, an off-roader version of the motorcycle named as Bajaj Boxer X150 Cross has spied completely uncamouflaged, performing trial runs on the roads of Mumbai-Pune highway near Lonavala.
Aesthetically, different from regular Boxer, the X150 Cross gets striking graphic stickers, blacked out theme, black alloy wheels, rear carrier, etc. Apart from this, the motorcycle is also embellished with features sports for off-road riding like raised front mudguard, durable chassis, and grippy tyres. The Boxer X150 Cross comes in kick and self start options altogether with a fuel tank of 11 liter capacity.
Powering for the motorcycle comes from the same 144.8 cc air cooled mill that is claimed to generate 12 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 12.26 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. Witnessed suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises conventional telescopic forks upfront and spring in spring (SNS) suspension at the rear. SNS system uses two co-axial springs wrapped on the shock absorber. Braking duties are under the care of drum brakes at both wheels.
If talked about the re-entry of the motorcycle in the Indian market, there is no official information from Bajaj. But there is chance of its re-introduction owing to witness a decrease in sales of Discover 150 and Platina. Also, it is likely to be the 2017 version for the Kenya, Zambia markets, where motorcycle is currently on sale. To know more about the bike, stay connected with SAGMart.
