Finally, the Bajaj Auto has come-up with the all new rumored sports motorcycle, for which we have been thinking whether it exists or is it, just the wind blowing all around. The wait has come to an end, as the Bajaj has recently showcased the most anticipated sports motorcycle, Pulsar 200SS, that too very secretly. The 200SS is said to be a fully-faired sports motorcycle carrying similar features from its bigger sibling Pulsar SS400. The firm has showcased the concept model of the Pulsar SS 400 at the Auto Expo, 2014, which held in Delhi.
Moving towards the Pulsar 200SS, the sports motorcycle is built around a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The 199.5cc displacement engine is capable to generate a total power of 23.18 BHP @ 9,500 RPM and a peak torque of 18.3Nm @ 8,000 revs. The images convey an impression of carburetor engine. Although, we'll be expecting the 200cc engined motorcycle to come along with Fuel-Injection system, but the showcased model seems to be a production ready model, so it would be a hard time to expect any more changes in the upcoming motorcycle.
Apart from the mechanical things, the Pulsar 200SS is featuring somewhat different livery carrying a badge over the tail-piece, saying 200SS. The Pulsar SS 400 is said to be the flagship sports motorcycle of the company and the 200SS has carried the same genes in it. The 200cc motorcycle is featuring stylish and sharp looks, highly aggressive from the front part as it has received twin projector headlamps along with daytime running lights. The main attraction on the front part is the two-piece blinker type headlights just above the twin-headlamps.
The rear section also seems to be very grumpy as it has a short length silencer, making it different from its naked siblings. The upcoming motorcycle has already had its rivals performing in a queue, such as Hero Karizma, KTM RC 200 and many more. The Pulsar 200SS is expected to be making its official appearance by the end of this year or might at the beginning of the 2015.
