Bajaj Auto has finally launched its new Avenger range in the country today, named as Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, Avenger 220 Street and Avenger 150 Street, have been priced at Rs 84,000, Rs. 84,000 and Rs. 75,000 (Ex. Showroom Delhi) respectively. Moreover, the Avenger 220 in the Cruise and Street variant have received cosmetic updates to look more appealing than its current running model.
The Avenger 220 range is featured with a front telescopic suspension and twin shocks at the rear. The stopping power in the both models is kept under control by front 260mm disc and rear 130mm drum. In terms of powertrains, both the motorcycles are powered by the same 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled and Digital Twin Spark Ignition motor that returns 19 PS of power at 5400 RPM and 17.5 Nm of torque at 7500 RPM, in the both motorcycles, the engine is mated to a five-speed transmission.
With the matte black and silver finishing, the Avenger 220 Street looks more impressive and eye-catching. The 220 street comes featured with low mounted handlebar and well-padded seat for a comfortable cruising. The classic matte black finish on the engine, new alloy wheels and new grab rails have been used to give a striking look to the motorcycle. The 220 Street features white headlight, clear lens indicators, new graphics and new Avenger logo on the either side of the fuel tank. The Avenger 220 Street has an excellent ergonomic as it measures 2,177 mm in length, 801 mm in width and 1,070 mm in height. The ground clearance of this motorcycle is 169 mm and it weighs 150 kg.
Avenger 220 Cruise:
The Avenger 220 Cruise has received some cosmetic updates to look fresh and more modern than its current version while it retains the same styling from the current Avenger. The new features in the 220 Cruise include a well-cushioned padded seat, backrest for the passenger, raised handlebar, optional windscreen, a wider rear tyre, new exhaust unit and spoke chrome wheels. The Avenger 220 Cruise measures 2177mm in length, 806mm in width and 1142 mm in height. The ground clearance is 169mm, whereas the wheelbase is 1490mm. It has 14 liters fuel capacity.
The new Bajaj Avenger 150 Street is built around on the same platform and design from the 220cc model, but it breathes by a new 150cc motor. The Avenger 150 Street is powered by the 149cc four-stroke and DTS-i engine that returns 14.5 PS of power at 9000 RPM and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. In the comparison of Pulsar 150, the 150cc motor of Street 150 offers 10 percent more torque in the low and mid ranges of the powerband. Moreover, the motorcycle gets front telescopic forks and rear twin shocks at the rear. The braking performance is taken care by a 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake.
