Bajaj auto is all geared to relaunch its revived Pulsar NS 200 in India in mid of January next year. The overhauled motorcycle has received minor changes on styling end. Other attention seeking alteration is the equipment of BSIV compliant motor. Other than this, the motorcycle's specifications and power output will be unaltered as per the company saying. Expect the application of new color choices and body graphics.
An ABS version of the motorcycle in question, is also believed to make its debut as a subsequent introduction in 2017, owing to compete with the single rival, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V portfolio in the market. That single channel ABS fitment would likely to borrow from its faired sibling-the RS 200. Currently, Bajaj is not considering the fuel injected trim of the NS 200. However, the frim will export this revived NS 200 to the global markets by January 2017.
Near around April 2015, the outfit has pulled back the Pulsar NS 200 from the native market. Although, the motorcycle was being produced for the latin America market, where it has a strong market presence for the Bajaj. There are various valid reasons for its discontinuity in India, besides being gaining a healthy sales sum of 2500-3000 units per month at that time. Still, due to the capacity limitations at the Chakan production facility, the auto maker has to stop down the NS manufacturing. As the brand was going to launch the Pulsar AS twins (150 and 200) and later on, the Avenger brand with its new family members. Actually, the company was looking to make space for the AS200, a more premium motorcycle with more and enhanced tech bits comparatively, in the similar price range.
Officially, Bajaj never suspended the NS 200 from the lineup, but it wasn't available at the dealership for over a year. Now, getting upgraded to BSIV, the NS 200 will rejoin its family in the near future. Other than this, the RS 200 as well, will receive the same BSIV heart by the end of January 2017. in terms of Bajaj sales scorecard, the 2017 NS 200 is expected to enhance the 10,000 units a month sales number. In this cumulative sum, the Pulsar 220 is the strongest contender in the Pulsar family, which is obtaining an average sale of 7-8000 units per month. Whereas the AS series has marked low sales in the market. The emergence of NS 200 in the market is not that astonishing as the time it will hit the market, the complete range of pulsar 135, 150, 180, NS 200, 220, RS 200 and the AS arrangement will be available along with BS-IV emission compliance aid in the market.
