Fastest Pulsar Yet, Yeah!! I’m talking about the newly launched Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Bajaj Auto Ltd. has introduced its all new beast in the month of March, 2015 and since its inception Pulsar RS200 successfully cloaked 3500 bookings in just one month. Offered in two variants: ABS and Non-ABS, Pulsar RS200 has carried a price tag of 1.30 Lacs INR and 1.18 Lacs INR (Ex-Showroom Delhi). This is the first time ever, when a newly launched Pulsar has received such an overwhelming response in the Indian two-wheeler market.
However, talking about the sales figure exposed by Bajaj Auto Ltd. shows that people are opting out for ABS version as compared to Non-ABS version. Number of orders received by dealers for Pulsar RS200 comprise more of ABS variant, which in fact costs 12,000 INR more than the base version. Mr. Eric Vas, President –Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto Ltd. says that over 50 percent of the bike’s customers have opted for ABS variant.
Mechanically, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 gets its power from a 199.5cc displaced engine, which is incorporated with a single-cylinder motor. Bajaj has used the very same engine in its Fastest Pulsar, which was previously used in the firm’s flagship model, Pulsar 200NS. The Triple-Spark DTS-i engine is tuned to churn out a maximum power of 24.16 BHP and achieve a maximum torque of 18.6 Nm, while mated to a 6-speed transmission. The top speed achieved by Fastest Pulsar yet is 141 KMPH.
Eventually, the best thing happening is that Indian two-wheeler makers are introducing ABS technology in their upcoming products. From safety point of view, it helps providing amazing riding experience along with high-end safety features.
