Bajaj, the well known motorbike manufacturing firm has temporarily discontinued its Pulsar AS200 and AS150 models across the entire country. The company is updating its complete lineup by BSIV engine, and the new updated models will hit the road by next year one-by-one.
The company has stopped taking bookings for the selected models. According to carandbike.com, the last deliveries of Pulsar AS200 and Pulsar AS150 were made on Dhanteras(28 October) this year. Thereafter, the company has stopped the production of the bikes, since there are certain showrooms selling these variants under discounts.
The company has not made any official statement about the upgradation of the half-faired pulsars but a source close to the company has revealed that the production of the models have been stopped or discontinued temporarily and the models will be back by April 2017 with an upgradation of BSIV technology engine.
Concentrating on the popular models first, Bajaj is going to introduce the entire pulsar range with BSIV technology by next year. The upcoming Pulsar AS200 and AS150 will also be seen in new colour variants, but no major changes will be seen in the upcoming models. The performance of Pulsar AS200 and AS150 was overwhelming since its time of launch, this may also be a cause of pulling it back temporarily from the market.
Apart from this, the company is also going to introduce 2017 edition of Pulsar 150 and 180 in the following days. The new bikes will be seen acquired new colour schemes and improved power delivery. Bajaj will also unveil its most awaited bike Kratos (Pulsar CS400) later this year. The company will start marketing it with a new brand name Dominar 400, which is likely to launch next month. The new member in the family will get space in the premium bike segment of the company.
