Benelli Imperiale 400 was presented at the EICMA Show 2017 in Milan in November second week. Further, it is scheduled to be launched at the Auto Expo 2018 which is going to take place in Greater Noida from 9 February to 14 February.
Benelli Imperiale 400 is a rival to Royal Enfield bikes and a Retro-styled cruiser. For sometimes, it has been under production and ultimately showcased at the EICMA 2017. It takes dual brakes and ABS control system as a standard. The bike looks very appealing in a new color scheme of red and black.
Bragging of classic design, the Benelli Imperiale 400 takes a twin-pod instrument cluster in a blend of retro and present-day designing. It utilizes a double cradle steel tube frame in relation to telescopic forks at the front which goes well with dual shock absorbers at the rear. Coming to the standard offering, it has Disc brakes on the front and dual-channel ABS at the rear. The motorcycle has a 12-litre fuel tank and a total weight of 200kgs.
Instrument cluster accommodates an analogue setup concerning odometer, speedometer, fuel gauge and tachometer. It obtains halogen on the skull and tail lamps. The front and rear wheels measure 19” and 18” which are wrapped with 110/90-19 and 130/80-18 tyres respectively. Benelli Imperiale 400 is India compatible as it has a Euro IV compliant which enables easy launching in the Indian market as now it is mandatory in India to be governed by BSIV protocol in all automobiles.
Benelli Imperiale 400 is enabled by a 373.3cc single cylinder, SOHC engine with a tag of Euro IV compliance. The motor is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and able to churn out a maximum power of 19 bhp at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The way to come to India will be company’s Indian arm, DSK-Benelli in mid-2018 after it is displayed at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The launch price of the bike is estimated to be Rs. 2 lakh mark in India, which would permit it to get in a rival market. Initially, Benelli exists at an entry level but that could alter very immediately with a sought of launches that are planned for India in coming 2018 and 2019.
