It’s time to grab your dream!!! As the much awaited full fairing sports runner from the distinguished Italian bike maker, Benelli, has landed on the Indian soil at the price sticker of INR 3.48 lakh ex-showroom, Pune. The bookings for the motorcycle had begun a few months ago at a token amount of INR 50,000. While the deliveries against the bookings has commenced after launch.
Aesthetically, beautifully crafted first and only full fairing bike from Benelli comes incorporated with massive covering at the front, studded with a split twin headlamp setup. The whole set up at the front is completely new, while at the rear section, the sport beast shares its styling and design cues from its naked sibling TNT 300. Other than this, the graphics job is outstanding, you can’t hold your eyes to have a glimpse of it.
Mechanically, based on a lighter chassis than its brother TNT 300, the Tornado 302R underpins a shared drivetrain of 302cc parallel-twin engine from the mentioned naked brother. In corporation with the six-speed gearbox transmission, the bike in question develops the maximum power of 36 bhp at 12,000rpm along with a peak torque of 27Nm at 9,000rpm.
Moreover, the Benelli 302R is also a full-fledged bike with the top end features such as USD front forks, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and the Metzeler M5 tyres, which its rivals such as Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Yamaha YZF-R3 miss out. The dual outlet exhaust with a powerful note is all new on the bike. While the braking duties are under the consideration of 260 mm dual front disc with 4 piston calipers and 240 mm rear disc with 1 floating piston caliper.
