DSK-Benelli, the Indian subsidiary of the legendary Italian marque has officially confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated sports tourer, the Tornado 302R in the country on 25 July 2015. For a reminisce, the bookings for the brand’s first full fairing motorcycle has already been commenced around one month ago. The one who is waiting to opt this sports bike can book at any DSK Benelli dealership at a token amount of Rs 30,000.
Aesthetically, the Tornado 302R is a charming bike as it gets full fairing studded with new twin headlamp setup, semi-digital instrument console, a massive fuel of 14 litres capacity, a step up split seat and a completely new exhaust unit. While the rear section of the motorcycle is shared from its naked sibling TNT 300.
Mechanically, the driving power for the 302R will come from the 300cc, in-line-two-cylinder, four stroke engine. The motorcycle in question is rated to churn out the maximum power of 37.5bhp and 27.4Nm of peak torque from the mated a six-speed gearbox transmission. The suspension duties on the bike will be handled by a 41mm USD front forks and an adjustable shock absorber with pre-load adjustability at the rear. Whereas, the braking power to stop the bike will come from the 260mm petal discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. The advanced safety feature of ABS is also expected to be provided as an optional extra.

If the pricing is concerned, the Benelli Tornado 302R is expected to carry a price sticker of Rs 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Post launch, the motorcycle will go in competition with the likes of the Yamaha R3 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 in the segment.
