BMW India is ready to hike the prices of their cars in India by up to 4 per cent. The new price is expected to come into effect from January 1, 2019.
Speaking about the price growth, Vikram Pawah, Chairman, BMW Group India said, “BMW India will continue to present an extremely attractive value to its customers through pioneering products, best-in-class service experience and comprehensive financial solutions and offers from BMW India Financial Services.”

Most probably, carmakers increase the price at the beginning of the year due to the factors such as exchange rate fluctuation, input costs and increasing commodity prices. Even other carmakers are expected to increase the rate of their cars and may announce it soon.
The performance-focused M2 Competition was recently introduced by BMW in India which costs Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). In 2019, BMW is going to launch the X5 SUV and the all-new 3-series sedan in the Indian Market.

During the period of Jan-Sep 2018, BMW India had reported a 11 per cent growth i.e. sold 7,915 units (including Mini sales) as compared to the last year.
