Reported to be launched at the impending 2016 EICMA Motorcycle Show, the adventure tourer BMW F310 GS has already been spotted by Motociclismo. The G310R based motorcycle will make its debut at the show, which will be started from November 10.
Since an adventure bike is incomplete without tough looks and style, the automaker has kept intact the design from its elder sibling, the BMW R 1200 GS, however, it is hinged on G310R. The secondary motorbike which we are referring here is also making a move in India in a couple of weeks. To discuss more on the designing front, let’s start with the headlight which is identical to that of G310R. Moreover, the F310 GS features newly-designed half fairings, fuel tank engraved by the ‘GS’ badge, long-travel suspension carrying golden painted forks, on/off tyres, a new engine cowl, a revamped rear with loading luggage provision.

According to the power aspects, the F310 GS will be taking the engine of the G310R, which is a 313cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled unit. Supplying power to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission setup, the engine produces 34BHP and 28NM of torque that is required to be imparted by an adventure tourer.
While the bikes will be manufactured at the TVS Motor’s Hosur facility in the country, the engineering is going to be done by BMW. So, do expect that the assembly line will be identical to the BMW G310R and the TVS Akula 310. The main target of the auto giant is the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which holds a price label of INR 1.56 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi).
Albeit the launch is more or less one month away, we can anticipate some fresh news about the tourer in these last couple of days. Stay tuned to Sagmart for the same.
