After rendering at the Auto Expo last year, the most popular luxury car making company, BMW will set up its i8 hybrid sportscar in India next month with aristocratic body figure and impressive performance for the customers. As we said that the runabout has already been showcased in the country, noteworthy point is that the vehicle got tremendous accolades via its imposing outlook as well as alluring interior, which made the people surprised at its first glance. Apart from the cosmetic terms, this roadster also comprises an impassioned mechanical features to bestow the best journey for its passengers and for the driver.
It is powered by a 1.5 litre three cylinder turbocharged engine, which will be coupled with an electric motor and the petrol mill will produce a power of 227.74 bhp as well as torque of 320 Nm. However, its electric motor singly would churn out power of 129.15 bhp and appreciable torque of 250 Nm in order to meet with a total output of 356.9 bhp and 570 Nm. The carmaker said that this vehicle will be capable to receive a stunning speed of 100 km/h from a standstill position in only 4.4 seconds, while in completely electric mode, it can go up to 37 km alongside a top speed of 120 km/h.
Coming to the mileage, i8 gets carbon fiber body and is just 1,485 kg in weighing comprising battery pack, which promises to adduce magnificent fuel efficiency. BMW is expected to launch this most awaited sportscar around INR 2 Crores in the Indian automobile market.
