The showcased model will soon be moving towards the production. Here we are talking about the "Concept Roadster" model from BMW, which was unveiled by the company in the month of May, 2014. The concept model has been designed by keeping the Roadster theme in mind. The revealed motorcycle carried highly attractive technical and cosmetic features. Well, it's really tough to hold against the unbeatable and unique styling of this German designer.
According to the sources, the "Concept Roadster" model is expected to be baptized as BMW R1200R. Recently, a new filing has made at the California Air Resources Board, which clearly shows the line-up models of 2015. The scheduled models include BMW R1200GS and BMW R1200RT, along with the aforementioned roadster motorcycle, sharing the same liquid-cooled engine. However, the launching event of the Roadster theme based motorcycle was uncertain before, but the new filing at the Californian Board has cleared all the doubts.
Talking about the technical specifications, the aforesaid motorcycle belongs to the 'R' model family and will get powered by the same engine which has been received by the GS and RT. The power and torque figure will also get tuned in a uniform manner to achieve 125 BHP of total power @ 7,750RPM and a peak torque of 124.7Nm @ 6,500RPM. Although, there are many more naked series sport bike available in the global market, which have been carrying same potential incorporated with the air/oil-cooled machines. The forthcoming motorcycle will be 10kg lighter than its series siblings with a total weight of 217kg with empty fuel tank.
On the safety front, the company will be providing advanced radial Brembo brakes and Telescopic forks replacing the Telelever. The only thing which we can do is expecting these super bikes to come live soon either at the INTERMOT, Cologne, Germany or making debut with other siblings at the EICMA, Milan, Italy.
