As the electric vehicles are becoming more and more visible on the roads, it is necessary to come up with a solution which could make sure that customers don't get any problem while charging them. These days, the electric vehicles get charged at particular stations and at home or the plug-in power source points developed by the companies, but the German automaker BMW seems to change the scenario by offering a completely new solution to this problem which is much hassle free as well. This new technology from BMW will allow vehicles to get charged anywhere without looking for a plug-in station.
BMW will be fitting the new street light which will help the electric vehicle drivers to charge their cars at any road street. The campaign will take off soon next year in Munich and as the new street lights will be compatible with the current electrical grid system, there won't be any need of drastic changes in the city. Also, the new street lights will have the LED bulbs and charging points where drivers will plug-in and payment would be done with an app from their smartphone for the electricity used.
This technology will also be helpful in popularizing of the other electric cars as well like Tesla model III and Nissan Leaf. However, the concept looks definitely promising, but the final decision could be taken only after the testing and real-life implementation of this method that is supposed to be done next year.
