After astonishing the Indian market with the M6 Gran Coupe recently, followed by the setup of an M Studio in Mumbai, BMW has gone ahead to launch two more cars. These are BMW X5 M and X6 M that have been launched in Chennai today at the retail price of INR 1.55 Crores and INR 1.6 Crores respectively. These two will also be available exclusively at company's M Studio, which is soon going to be opened in locations like Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.

Mechanical configuration will consist of a 4.4 litre, V8 engine fitted under the hood of both these cars. The maximum output generated by this motor amounts to 575 Bhp of power and 750 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, there will be an 8-speed M steptronic automatic unit that is linked to an AWD setup. These luxury offering will be sprinting upto 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.

Like any other M Series model, the X5 M and X6 M will also flaunt an aggressive, muscular exterior along with highly comfortable interiors. Elements like stylish headlamps, kidney grille, distinctively designed alloys, wide air dams, body colored wing mirrors, etc will be some common prominent features. These performance oriented vehicles will be brought in the country via CBU route and will be plotted to compete with the likes of Mercedes GL 63 AMG, Range Rover Sport SVR and Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
