In a recent media meet the co-founder of Classic Legends, Anupam Thareja announced a delay in pre-bookings for its flagship factory custom bobber to September month this year. Overwhelming response for two of its products- the Jawa and the Forty Two made the bike maker ramp up the production of said models. Consequently, we would be able to see the launch of Jawa Perak by the latter half of this year.
While the products which are available to purchase at the brand dealerships, the deliveries for the same is expected to commence soon. In terms of underpinnings, both models share a majority of components. Based on double-cradle chassis, the motorcycles get power from a shared 293cc single-cylinder motor.

The Perak, on the other hand, is a different offering that is powered by a slightly powerful 334cc motor, capable of churning out 30.4PS and 31Nm torque. Furthermore, the underpinned swingarm is also a larger unit with a monoshock setup. It is being expected, the Perak will hit the production line in the second half of this year and go on sale by early 2020. At the time of brand’s global debut, Jawa Motorcycle announced the Perak with a price tag of INR 1.89 lakh, ex-showroom. However, at the time of its launch, the motorcycle will carry the price tag under INR 2 lakhs.
