The 2018 Indian Scout Bobber, which was introduced in the Indian Motorcycle product lineup, last week, the bookings for the same has been initiated in India. The commencement of bookings showcases that the motorcycle can hit the Indian market anytime soon. In the US, the motorcycle carries a price sticker of $11,999. But, what will it priced here in India, not known? The expectations suggest it would fall in the price range of INR 13 lakh.
Aesthetically, the motorcycle looks promising with the equipped features which comprise include new fenders-front and rear, street tracker handlebar. New bar end mirrors, brand badging in block letters at the front end. In addition to that, the bobber also equipped low slung, brown leather seat, alloy wheels, massive tyres and blackened exhaust pipes.
Mechanically, the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber gets a 1,311cc, liquid cooled, fuel-injected, Thunder Stroke III V-Twin motor as a propelling heart. The mill is capable of generating the maximum power of 100PS and delivering the peak torque of 97.7 Nm to the rear wheel with the help of an associated six-speed gearbox. Whereas, the braking duties are taken care by a 298mm disc brake at the rear and a 298mm unit at the front wheel.
A host of remaining features on the new Scout Bobber comprise a single pod instrument cluster with analog speedometer, LCD for tachometer, odometer and trip meter, and low fuel and engine temps indicators.
In the list of accessories, the Indian Motorcycle is providing Bobber passenger seat with sissy bar and Bobber Solo rack bag and saddle bag. Launched in the five colour options of Thunder Black, Thunder Black Smoke, Star Silver Smoke, Bronze Smoke and Indian Motorcycle Red, the new Scout Bobber will go in competition with the likes of Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight, and new Triumph Bonneville Bobber.
