Bridgestone Takes Charge for Road Safety in Indore

The renowned tyre and rubber manufacturer has taken a step ahead to take charge of the safety measures while driving over the roads. The Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd. has recently conducted a Road Safety Campaign in so called Mini Mumbai i.e. Indore. The campaign took place on 28th of December, 2014. This would be a very helpful step taken by the Bridgestone India in order to promote the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts while driving two-wheeler and four-wheeler, respectively. This initiative was specifically organized by keeping the winter holidays in mind.

Bridgestone Road Safety Campaign

Nearly 70 Bridgestone representatives are being initially trained by the Indore Traffic Department. The representatives are distributing pamphlets and stickers awakening the road safety measures. The volunteers are told to display banners on five major signals of the city; Palasia Square, High Court Junction, Regal Circle, Indraprasth Tower Square and White Church Square. The five major signals are selected in order to educate the traffic rules and awareness of road safety among the people.

The volunteers are being trained to emphasize on the utilization of the seat belts and helmets while riding. The driving person must avoid drinking, distractions and should follow the traffic rules in a strict manner to avoid any mishap. The efforts made by the Bridgestone will surely helps to develop road sense and safety awareness among the Indore citizens. This will also reduce the road fatalities. The increased road traffic is the major reason of these associated road accidents, so the Bridgestone Road Safety Campaign should be a suggestion for all the major cities.
