Recently we informed you about the unveiling of the new Tata model codenamed Tata Kite due to happen next month. Now there are confirmed reports that Tata’s next big model will start arriving in showrooms from the first week of January 2016, after its unveil next month. Tata Motors recently made Lionel Messi as their brand ambassador who was seen giving the customers a glimpse of what the Tata Kite can look like.

Under the hood this upcoming model will include three-cylinder petrol and diesel engines where the petrol option would be an all-new 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine while the diesel option will come packed with a 1.05-liter three-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power output of 64bhp and 140Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are likely to include a 5-speed manual as standard and an automated manual transmission.
The new model will feature a slightly distinctive styling, featuring a long honeycomb grille flanked by bug-eyed head lamps, wraparound tail lamps, roof spoiler, strong character lines, and fog lamps. The Kite hatchback will be based on Tata’s XO platform, and will spawn a compact sedan sometime in early-2016. As far as the price tag of the model is concerned, it is expected to fall in the range of 3.5 lacs or above that.
