After getting a huge round of popularity for Go, Datsun planned to expand its prominence by making a Go+ runabout, which has recently been caught out while testing on the way of Pune. Excluding its size and shape, all the exterior features remain same as existing vehicle, but dimensions have been enlarged that converting this current hatchback into a mini MPV. Inside, this car follows the same pattern as its outer body and interior also includes extended space comprising similar dashboard alongside the mobile docking station, power steering, follow-me-home headlight and front power windows. Based on V platform that also underpins the Datsun Go, this compact seven seater Go+ is 3,995 mm in length.
Hence, the Indian government will offer 8% of excise duty concession in place of 12%, making it relatively cheap to compete against the likes of a base petrol model of Maruti Ertiga, Honda Mobilio and Chevrolet Enjoy. This runabout will be powered by a Nissan Micra motivated 1.2 litre three cylinder petrol engine and its predecessor generates a standard power of 68 bhp as well as an appreciable torque of 104 Nm. The Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan has commenced production of this carriage near Chennai at the Oragadam plant. Vendors will start taking orders from the first quarter of next year between the price of INR 4.5-5.75 Lacs.
