Datsun Launched Special Edition For GO and GO+: Style Edition

On Thursday, Datsun India launched a special addition for the small hatch GO and the compact MPV GO+ in India. These special edition cars come with ‘Style’ Moniker and have been priced at INR 4.06 Lakh and INR 4.77 Lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) respectively.

Recently, the Japanese automaker launched redi-GO, small hot hatch in the country and yesterday, the carmaker upload a silhouette picture of its upcoming more likely to be a crossover, on social media. And now special editions, all these suggest that Datsun implying an all-new strategy to lure the Indian buyers.

Coming back to the Style edition of GO and GO+, the special edition only includes cosmetic updates, while there is no change under the hood of both the cars. The exterior updates include a new colour option called ‘New Blue’ in addition to the existing white and Ruby colours, roof rails, a rear spoiler, body graphics and limited edition ‘Style’ badge.

Moving inside the cabin, the Style edition of GO and GO+ offer two colour theme option between a dual tone black and beige upholstery, and a piano black centre instrument cluster with silver chrome treatment.

Besides these interior and exterior updates, the Style editions also carry forward some other technology-wise features from the T style variants such as speed sensitive electric power steering wheel, effective air conditioning system, follow-me-home headlamps, front power windows, universal mobile holder, AUX and USB port, center locking and full wheel covers.

As we told earlier, the GO and GO+ Style edition remain unchanged under the hood. Both the cars will continue to be powered by the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which is tuned to produce a maximum power of 68PS and a peak torque of 104 Nm. These power figures are transmitted to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The carmaker claims a fuel mileage of 20.6 kmpl for both the cars.

Moreover, both the cars are offered with two year/unlimited kilometers warranty plan with free Roadside Assistance which can be further extended up to the five years. The GO and GO+ style edition will go on sale for a limited time period only, from August to October 2016 and can be booked Datsun’s authorised dealerships across India.
