It goes without saying that Indian Defense force has always been at its best when it comes to serving the nation. Meanwhile, the Indian Government has also appended service like CSD (Canteen Stores Department) where the serving as well as ex-service personnel can avail the benefits of a maximum discountable price on each and every product. The prices are very much less than the market offering including priority based deliveries, exclusive offers and VAT exemption profits.
Many automobile manufacturers have also been offering their products through the CSD service and now the Nissan Owned Datsun is being positioned in that list. The automaker has added two vehicles, namely Redi Go and Go+ to the defence personnel in India. The former has been recently launched in the market at the starting price of INR Lakhs, while the latter is available on sale at INR 3.90 Lakhs. However, no price details have been confirmed for the CSD based units.
"It's always been our endeavour to enhance the overall brand experience for our customers. Extending the Datsun Redigo and Datsun Go Plus under CSD along with our other existing Nissan and Datsun models is another step to provide one more reason for our customers to take home their favourite vehicle topped with exclusive offers," conveyed by Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd.
Available in five different variants, the Datsun Redi Go shares the engine with Renault Kwid, which is powered by a 799 cc, three cylinder petrol unit, generating 53 Bhp of power. Moreover; driver side airbags, engine immobiliser, front speaker, USB and Auxiliary input are also there with high end trims. Talking about the Go+, it has a 1.2-litre engine under its hood and is capable of generating 67 Bhp of power.
