Recently, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer DSK Benelli has announced that it is coming up with a new quarter liter motorcycle in the Indian two-wheeler market. It is reportedly going to be the most affordable bike in the company's lineup. This two-wheeler will be named as TNT 25 and is slated to be launched by late 2015. This is the same model that has been already displayed at the Indian Bike Week held in the month of February, this year. It will be introduced as an entry level model and will be placed below the TNT 300 model.
DSK Benelli has been expanding its business throughout the country and its motorcycles are getting a great response from the customers in the Indian market. The manufacturer has recently inaugurated its showroom in Jaipur and it will soon open its next dealership in Jodhpur.
The source of power for the new TNT 25 will be a 249.2 cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine. It has the capacity to deliver maximum output of 24.1 Bhp at 9,000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The bike weighs 150 kg and is fitted with an upside down front suspension. It is likely to bear resemblance with the TNT 300 model in terms of its built-up quality, which is quite impressive.
It is expected to be priced at INR 1.5 to 2 Lacs (ex-showroom) and will be rivaling motorcycles like KTM Duke 200 and Honda CBR 250R. This upcoming bike will get assembled using the CKD kits rather than being sold as a CBU unit.
